Fees & FAQs
Fees
What are your fees?
Session Rates:
- Initial Therapy Intake (60 min): $280
- Standard Therapy Session (50 min): $250
- Extended Individual Sessions: 90 min ($375) | 120 min ($500)
- Assessment Rates: $1,200–$6,400 (depending on type and scope)
Do you take insurance?
No. I'm a self-pay, out-of-network provider. I don’t bill any insurance company, employer plan, or state program directly.
This choice is intentional: it removes the conflicts and paperwork that compromise your privacy and keeps your care truly off-the-record.
If you want to seek reimbursement from your carrier, I'll provide a superbill after each session for you to submit. You'll also get a Good Faith Estimate up front—so there are no surprises and you stay in complete control of your care and your data.
Privacy & Documentation
How do you approach confidentiality?
Your privacy is the cornerstone of our work together. In our first conversation, I'll walk you through exactly how your information is handled. You remain firmly in control.
Here's what that looks like:
- Encrypted, HIPAA-Compliant Records: All notes and communications live in an EHR that I alone manage. It uses industry-standard encryption and never syncs with employer systems, insurer databases, or health-information exchanges.
- Minimal Documentation: I record only what’s essential for your care—session date & duration, the broad topics we cover, and any treatment-plan updates you’ve agreed to. No symptom checklists, no billing codes, and no diagnostic labels (unless you specifically request them).
- Paper & Pencil Option: If you’d like an extra layer of discretion, we can keep all notes on paper—securely stored by me and shredded once they’re no longer needed.
- Transparent Boundaries: We’ll review the very limited, legally mandated exceptions to confidentiality up front (for example, imminent risk of harm or mandated abuse reporting). You’ll know exactly what they are and can make informed choices about what (and how much) you share.
Outside of those rare, narrow requirements, everything you share remains completely off the record. Visible only to you and me. No surprises, no hidden disclosures, no prying eyes.
Will this show up on my medical or employment record?
You’re in control. Because we’re entirely self-pay and out-of-network, nothing is ever shared with insurers, employers, or licensing boards—unless you ask me to.
I also want you to feel completely safe in our work together, so we’ll sit down at the start and walk through the very limited situations where I’m legally required to report (for example, if there’s imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or evidence of abuse). That way, you’ll know exactly what those rare exceptions look like, and can make fully informed choices about what (and how much) you’d like to disclose.
Outside of those narrow, mandated circumstances, your care remains completely off-the-record and visible only to you and me. No surprises, no hidden disclosures, no prying eyes.
Exactly what gets documented and where?
I maintain only essential documentation in an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant EHR that I alone control. It never syncs with health-information exchanges, employer portals, or insurance systems.
Records are limited to: session date and duration, broad topics we discuss, and any treatment updates you've agreed to.
Want extra discretion? I'm happy to keep all notes on paper—securely stored by me and kept offline.
This approach preserves continuity of care (should you work with another provider in the future) without subjecting you to hidden audits, data-mining, or unwanted disclosures.
Can I request no diagnosis at all?
My guiding principle is your informed consent. You deserve to know what will be documented, why, and to express your preference.
Because this is self-pay, out-of-network, there's no billing requirement forcing us to assign a DSM code unless you want one (for insurance reimbursement, for example).
In rare circumstances where a formal diagnosis may be clinically or legally necessary, we'll discuss that up front. You decide what you feel comfortable having on record.
Otherwise? We focus entirely on your goals and story. Zero diagnostic labels. No boxes, no billing codes, no risk of a label following you into your next licensure renewal.

Do you offer in-person sessions?
Yes—by appointment only at my private office in Woodlands, TX.
Do you offer virtual therapy?
Absolutely. All telehealth sessions run on a HIPAA-compliant video platform. You can connect securely from home, the office, or wherever you happen to be.
What happens if I need to travel for work?
No problem. As long as you're physically located in one of the 42+ PSYPACT-eligible states at session time, we can easily continue via telehealth. Just let me know where you'll be.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
I do my best to follow up within 48 hours of your first inquiry and aim to schedule your initial intake within one week. Returning clients often find openings even sooner.
What if my schedule is unpredictable?
I know your days can shift in an instant—last-minute calls, emergency procedures, or unexpected deadlines. That's why I built flexibility into my caseload for your competing demands.
- Floating Appointment Slots: Rather than rigid weekly times, grab a "floating" slot on short notice—sometimes within 24–48 hours—whenever you have a free window.
- Telehealth Wherever You Are: Connect securely from home, the office, or even a hotel room when traveling, so you don’t have to carve out the extra commute time.
- Combined Check-Ins: If a full 60-minute session feels impossible some weeks, switch to a brief 30-minute check-in to keep momentum. Prefer more intensive work? 90 and 120-minute slots are available to help you meet treatment goals faster.
