Ground Rules That Protect the Work We’ll Do Together

Welcome to the legal fine print—written as plainly as I can manage. These Terms of Service cover everything you do on drjennyshields.com and any therapy or consulting you schedule with me, Dr. Jenny Shields. They exist to protect your rights, outline my responsibilities, and keep our working relationship transparent from day one.

Highlights you should actually read:

• Scope. Applies to in-office sessions in The Woodlands, secure PSYPACT telehealth across participating states, ethics consulting, and all resources you download here.
• Professional standards. I follow the APA Ethics Code, Texas Board rules, and PSYPACT’s interjurisdictional guidelines—no shortcuts.
• Fees. Payment is due when you book through the secure client portal. I don’t bill insurance directly, but I’ll supply a superbill for out-of-network benefits.
• Intellectual property. The worksheets and blog posts in resources are free to read, not free to copy wholesale. Ask first; I usually say yes.
• Dispute resolution. We start with good-faith conversation, then mediation in Montgomery County, TX before courts or arbitration.
